→ Can I Eat Rotisserie Chicken On Keto?
You sure can and you sure should! But let us have a brief chat about keto. You know, and I know you do, that eating bacon and pepperoni while omitting everything else the body needs is not how you’ll feel your best. It’s not how you’ll look your best. And, it’s not what we’re doing here.
Your keto diet or low carb lifestyle should be full of non – starchy veggies and other whole foods that will keep your body happy. This along with a calorie deficit and some exercise should be the focus. Talk with your doctor. They know you and they know best.
All I’m saying here is how I feel when I do what I’m supposed to do. So a few baby chimis every few months is not the end of the world, but it’s not the sole focus either.
For the purpose of this recipe, let us focus on a goal of better, but not perfect. You cannot and will not be perfect. There are days built in to your life for yummy treats.
This baby chicken chimi is a treat! So while rotisserie chicken is zero in carbs, you can still do things to make this meal a bit more complete. I suggest removing the skin. Do you really need it anyway since we’ll be adding cheese? Nah, skip the extra calories. Start thinking of a low-carb salad to pair with the chimis. Or steamed veggies, oven roasted veggies or another favorite of yours.
No, not a margarita – tooooo much sugar. Nice try. But I’m sure you can find alternatives to fit the cuisine to make this a fun and on plan (aka within your carb goals) night.

Here’s my TikTok quickly outlining the baby chicken chimichanga. I think it’s self explanatory, but here’s the quick run down.
Baby Chicken Chimichanga
- Microwave a low carb tortilla for 10 seconds making it easier to roll without developing cracks
- To the center, add a small heaping of rotisserie chicken
- Season as you wish
- Add a touch of diced onion and if you’re fancy, roasted garlic
- Cover with shredded cheese and roll your little baby, burrito style
- Stick 2 toothpicks in each end securing the roll and place on a greased sheet pan
- Cover with more cheese and or dry seasoning and bake in a 350 degree oven for 15 minutes
- Meanwhile, add Tabasco to sour cream and serve as a dipping sauce
- And, make that salad or some other form of happiness for your body
That’s it. It’s really that simple! So, once you master the tuck and roll, you can fill these with ground beef or sautéed veggies, or cilantro lime shrimp, or really – whatever you’d like. You could even try this keto recipes with rotisserie chicken and broccoli giving it a different flair. The possibilities are endless.
