THIS ONE IS TRULY EASY, LIKE SUPER DUPER KETO EASY
I know that TikTok isn’t everyone’s thing. I’ll admit that I have doom-scrolled when I should have been doing anything else. But sometimes, it’s worth it. I never would have found this recipe and I can’t wait to share it with you.
First, let’s introduce you to Tasty. A super-fun site that has so many recipes to explore. Plus, they have an app that is equally as addicting as TikTok.
Tasty was one of the first sites that got me hooked on watching quick food videos for inspiration. Their fun recipes make you feel inspired for every meal.
You’re going to want to make this one! Sure, it looks like the guy is using a full-on carb-heavy bun, but we can find alternatives. After making this, I don’t even need the sandwich. A square of this eggy custard on a plate with your other low-carb breakfast favorites will keep you satisfied and full for hours.
DELICIOUS KETO RECIPES; COPY CAT EDITION
The Tasty recipe has eggs, milk, chicken powder or mushroom powder, and spring onion. It’s then baked in the oven in a water bath, topped with cheese, and served on a bun with mayo.
Let’s do just that but with a few personal twists.
First, I only had 13 eggs. Tasty calls for 15. I figured this was going to be ok. Also, I didn’t have regular milk and assumed unsweetened almond milk would work. It did! I only used 1 1/4 cups to make up for the missing 2 eggs. I don’t know if that was necessary or not.
Next, in the bowl of cracked eggs and almond milk, I added 3 tablespoons of mushroom powder and 1 tablespoon of garlic powder. I also added a dash of salt and pepper.
Do you have an emersion blender? If not, this is your sign to get one.
Finally, pour the egg mixture into a parchment paper-lined dish and top with green onions. Place it on a sheet pan filled with water and bake for 1 hour. I forgot to cover the eggs for the first 30 minutes but it still turned out fine.
I need to clean my oven. But that’s it – eggs, milk, seasoning, blend, bake with scallions, top with cheese, and eat a yummy egg sandwich.

Copycat Tasty Egg Custard Sandwich
- 15 Eggs
- 1.5 C Milk
- 3 T Mushroom or Chicken Powder
- 1 bunch Scallions, Chopped
- Preheat oven to 300 degrees
