Tiktok, if you’re unaware, has subsections. Each is named by the primary word followed by tok. Of course, I quickly found myself on FoodTok. In addition, I came across this recipe.
However, I’m upset to report that I didn’t write down the creator’s name and recipe. I thought I saved it to circle back. Leave a comment if you know this creator as I would like to give them full credit and my thanks for this yummy recipe that I twisted a bit to make it keto-friendly.
Let’s Get Into This Low Carb Recipe With Chicken Thighs
Now you can choose whatever you want here. Are you a bone-in or a bone-out? My mother swears that the meat is juicier with the bone. The only difference in my book is the length of time it takes to cook. The bone-in will take 10 – 15 minutes more. I like things that cook quickly. But my mother was visiting and this is what we did.
You’ll either mix a full jar of the roasted garlic bouillon or a half with a quarter amount of that with maple syrup, The goal is to sweeten it up and thin it out so it can evenly coat the chicken. Next, add as much crushed garlic as you’d like.
The garlic will burn if left exposed. I like that crunchy burnt marshmallow texture and flavor. If you don’t, mix the garlic in with the sauce.
I may have left it in a tad longer than I should have, but here’s the final result after 40 minutes in the oven. The creator who came up with this is a genius. This is so easy and it’s so delicious.
I served it with a low-carb root gratin. It tasted just like potatoes au gratin and I was in heaven.
